The positive feelings, sensations, and emotions from the gay Halloween party on Saturday night are still alive within me, like the pleasant warmth of a hearth fire even after the flames have gone out.
It’s been weeks since I was able to sleep as deeply and soundly as these past two nights, to feel alive but not too restless during the daytime.
I feel whole.
Saturday night brought me a wholeness that I wasn’t expecting and that I’m still feeling warm and healing inside me now.
It’s as if another piece of me had found its proper place or space to breathe.
Another season has begun.
Like all seasons, it will bring its storms along with days of sunshine. But for now, I am whole.
